Qualitative Research: BIG IDEAS
After producing the website for our Big Ideas project, a critical analyst was conducted within the group to self-evaluate our work.
The comments made regarding my proposal was in general very positive; stating that the design and the overall idea was very good.
10 out of the 19 people present said that they would use the site if it was fully operational.
Issues raised involved the font used for the logo and the menu bars, suggested they could be too hard to read and may not fit in with the political/news websites- normally on sites like the BBC and Sky, they use more of a Sans Serif font. Carrying the project forward, more investigation may be done to see whether this is the case to a larger proportion of people.
Also, the social media logo at the top could be reduced in size according to those critiquing the website.
What is needed now is to approach County Councils and see whether they could incorporate the website into their area and if the 18-24 market who the website in intended for would take to the website and use it on a regular basis.
